Saturday savers - Build it up with Gio

Saturday Savers
a dedicated day of stash using, recycling, upcycling and general planet saving!

Hi,
Third week for our Saturday Savers. How are you enjoying it so far?
Fabulous project (me think) from Gio today. Looove those colours and it is such a pretty design too.
Looking forward to hearing from you in a comment below.

I gathered a piece of empty kitchen roll, a cereal box and a cardstock tea box and I cut them to size.
I gessoed some book pages and I covered the cardstock pieces. I added some texture using Dreamweaver embossing paste: Transluscent through
The Crafters Workshop template - Circle explosion spreading it with a palette knife.

When dry, I started to paint using PaperArtsy Fresco Finish paints: Eggplant for the cereal box, PaperArtsy Fresco Finish paints: Smoked paprika for the kitchen roll and PaperArtsy Fresco Finish paints: Beach hut for the tea box. I also painted the scalloped frame and the base of the Tando Creative Sweet tooth kit with the same colours.
I added Tim Holtz Tissue Tape Nostalgic all along the inner borders of the cardstock pieces.

I stamped some flowers and branches from PaperArtsy stamps - Eclectica: Lin Brown 01 using several Archival ink pad on a piece of gessoed book page and on the cardstock base. I cut them out. I glued them to another piece of gessoed book page lightly coloured with Archival ink and a little sponge. I adhered it to the scalloped Tando frame.
I assembled everything. I added some chipboard details from the same Tando kit, stamped with archival ink pad and a script stamp from Hot Picks 1006.
I enlightened the raised areas with some Dreamweaver metallic F/X.

See you tomorrow
