Bag It
Hi Everyone!
Hope you're having a
good day. I'm hoping
for a seriously good
crafting day - I see the
UFO's are settling back
into my Craft Room and
we can't have that..........
Helen Chilton is back with
us today and oh my, does
she have a super fabulous
project to share using a
Kraft bag and Kay Carley's
new PaperArtsy stamps.
"Step 1
I'm cutting out a window in one side
of the Kraft bag using a
Sizzix Framelit (any shape) and I've put in
the long thin plate to cut on
Step 2
If you haven't got this type of plate
just put your die on the inside of the bag,
cutting side downwards - a bit more fiddly,
but it still works.
Step 3:
Next stamp your images from Kay Carley
sets 05, 06 and 07
Step 4:
Paint them in using Frescos, going over the lines.
Step 5:
Then add some South Pacific blue
and give shape to the flowers in white.
Step 6:
You can see here how the white paint gives the flower form.
Step 7:
Paint the spikey flower in Pixie Dust going
over the black again.
Step 8:
Add extra colour with coloured pencils
and then highlights and shading.
Step 9:
Cut acetate to fit the window, mask
and start stamping in black.
Step 10:
Here's a close up - I've stamped the first few
in grey and then stamped over the top
in black to add depth.
Here's the back"

Thank you Helen for a beautiful
project.
This would make a lovely present
filled with toiletries or a maybe a
selection of seed bags for a gardener.
What would you put in it?
'Till tomorrow

The window is a great addition to the bag and makes it extra special. A gorgeous gift in itself as it's hand painted!
