Hi there!
Interesting the snippets of information
that can be gleaned from a calendar when
we take the time to read it! I generally
just look to see if I have any commitments
that day - breathe a sigh of relief if not or
get my headless chicken head on otherwise!
However, today for some reason the small
print caught my eye and I see that it is
specifically St Patrick's Day in Northern Ireland
according to my calendar. Wonder if it is also
St Patrick's Day day elsewhere in the world?
I know St Patrick's day is a big event in
other countries too.......
Today we have Helen Chilton with one of
the new Lynne Perella stamp sets and the
main image on this set is ......... read on.....
"Stamp the image onto glossy cardstock with StazOn ink.
Colour in with the Spectrum KaleidaColor inkpad
Colour the fine details with a coton bud.
Here I've used the yellow from the Bouquet inkpad.
Add highlights with a white pen
Stamp the column block 3 times in black and
colour/highlight as before
Run the Bouquet inkpad directly along
the edge of some glossy cardstock.
Turn the card and repeat along shorter edge,
turn card again and repeat etc.
Quickly blend inks with paper towel
Using the border stamp, stamp all over
background with Bouquet inkpad
ink up border in black and stamp part of it
round edge of background"
Materials used:
PaperArtsy Lynne Perrella Collection ELP037
KaleidaColor inkpads: Spectrum, Bouquet
Ranger Archival inkpad: Jet Black
White highlighter pen
Thank you Helen for a
lovely project and a super
background technique
No, definitely not St Patrick,
he's obviously Prince Charming..............isn't he?
Or could he be St Valentine?......
'Till tomorrow
Mickie xx
