Crafty Individuals week with Helen Chilton

Hi,
This is one "special week" that we do on a regular basis as we love their products: Crafty Individuals week.
If you know our website/shop well (you do, right?), you will know that we stock a wide range of Crafty Individuals products: stamps, masks, dies, papers, images, tags... you find them all HERE

This week again, we have the talented Helen Chilton joining us with a step by step. She made a beautiful card using the Crafty Individuals masks for embossing.

I've used one of the gorgeous new masks from Crafty Individuals when making this card. Don't forget you can use masks not just to add pattern to your card, but also to emboss it as I have done here.

Cut out your card and use the Victoria and Albert mask to emboss both top and bottom.

Sand the embossed areas gently to remove the top layer and reveal the brown card underneath.

To make the embossing 'pop', go round the design with the Cranberry pencil and then use the blender pencil to pull the colour out - use small circular movements.

Lay the mask over the corners and sponge over the Festive Berries colour.

Stamp the filmstrip border round the edge in black.

Stamp and colour the trees negative onto glossy white card and add white highlights. Finish with embellishments.

Stamps used:
Crafty Individuals: CI-197 Trees negative

Other materials:
Crafty Individuals mask: Victoria and Albert
StazOn inkpad: Jet Black
Distress inkpads: Wild Honey; Spiced Marmalade; Barn Door; Festive Berries
Derwent Coloursoft pencils: Cranberry; Blender
