Day 2 for our paper tape week with Karen and Jane with us today. Karen has used the flower paper tape you can find in the embellishment section to make a beautiful Gothic Arch (by Tando).
She also made another calendar page with the same tape. Although it is purple and flowery, it works well on her masculine calendar.
I have used the back of the Tando Creative Gothic Arch Frame and painted it with PaperArtsy Fresco (Sky) then overstamped with Brilliance ink (pearlescent purple) and a lace stamp. I repeated this on a scrap of paper. This was then glued onto the bottom of the arch and layered with some torn bookprint and the paper tape. The chipboard flower was painted to tone in and crackle accents applied. I added a few beads to the bottom and a chain to hang the piece by.

The background has been painted with Eco Green paints and then blotted with a piece of kitchen towel to give a subtle pattern. I stamped the Katzelkraft car (Voiture) directly on top with Archival ink. The paper tape was used to trim the top and bottom and also to add a 'surface' for the car to stand on. The fabulous quote is computer generated.

Great technique, quite easy and very effective...
I struggled a bit here on using masking tape and then lovely Carol Cann (at The Craft Barn) reminded me about this background, so...
I tore small pieces of masking tape and stuck them onto my tag completely covering it...
Spray the tag with Dylusions Ink Sprays, and blot.
Add the mask and spray over with ink spray, blot.
Stamp with Archival ink around the border of tag
The Tando butterflies were painted with Gesso, then coloured with ink sprays and added to tag with wire antennaes
Jane used:
Dylusions Ink Sprays - Vibrant Turquoise, Lemon Zest, Bubblegum Pink
Dylusion Stamps - Further around the Edge
