Another project with the masks used for embossing, as Helen showed you on Monday.
This time Isa used the PaperArtsy wax kraft paper: Crunchy and one of the Crafty Individuals' mask to make a quick and easy, no cutting involved envelope.
Start by embossing the Crunchy paper with your Crafty Individual mask. Isa used the big shot as shown below with extra shims
Isa then sanded the embossed image and folded the paper to make the envelope.
Tip of the day
if you don't like the effect the sanding gave you, just heat up with the heat gun and it will disappear
Et voilà, a bit of double sided tape to glue the sides of the envelope, a bit of string and a tag and you are done
For her project, Isa used:
Crafty Individuals stencil: Fine flowers panel
Crafty Individuals stamp CI-256
Distress ink walnut and black Versafine
Tim Hotlz die: Tiny tag

It's nice to know these masks can be used with the Big Shot etc. A nice effect with the PA crunchy paper.
ReplyDeleteWonderful evenlope - gotta try a masking technique later today.
ReplyDeleteIsa can always be relied upon to come up with something different! This is such a pretty idea and I've never tried using the crunchy paper with a mask - something else to have a try at!
