Day 2 of our Dylusions week with another Art Journal page (you will see quite a few of those this week) by Isa'sArt and her lovely hand drawn character "Chouchou".
Isa used the Dylusions sprays on (heat resistant) acetate to create a transparency over a photograph. Neat little idea, isn't it?
Although those inks are designed for porous surfaces, you can also use them on acetate. They will dry (with a heat tool), just bear in mind that if you scratch / rub the acetate, the ink will come off. But you can use it as Isa did, on the side of your acetate which will not be touched
She drew her borders with black markers and took the inks off the centre of the acetate with a damp cloth
She taped the acetate to her art journal page
Materials
Dylusions ink: Bubblegum pink
Dylusions ink: Bubblegum pink
Stickles: Fruit Punch
To make the page I first coloured it with Dylusions ink spray: Melted chocolate then overstamped with the swirly stamp from the Hobby Art background stamp set and the edges distressed with black soot distress Ink, and the stitching stamp border stamped around the page.
The dancing girl was stamped with Versafine black ink and then bleached out with a waterbrush filled with cheap thin bleach.
After inking the calender sheet with Vintage photo and Black soot distress ink, I stuck it in place with a repositional glue and then masked an outline slightly larger than the sheet with masking tape. Remove the calender sheet.
I then stamped the stitching stamp inside the mask so that it created a box around the calender, when the masking tape was removed. I just placed the calender at a slight angle to the stiched box.
The Dylusions sentiment was stamped onto some scrap paper and inked with vintage photo ink, stuck in place and then very roughly bleached to give a patchy finish.
To create the calender page I used
Dylusions ink spray: Melted chocolate
Dylusions stamps: Quintessential quotes
Lindsay Mason clear stamps: Arabella
Hobby Art Clear Stamps: Decorative Backgrounds
Zig BrusH2O Waterbrush: Detailer
