3d Bloom & Texture

3d Bloom & Texture

Hi everyone

Here's a great project to while
away those winter evenings
from Helen Chilton:

This is my canvas for the 3D bloom theme
using JOFY stamps and Prima Color Bloom sprays

I didn't have any modelling paste to hand
so die cut some book paper flowers
with Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die

When the canvas had dried I painted it with
Chalk, Pixie Dust and Sugar Plum Frescos
and then spritzed a little Sunshine Color Bloom spray

Then I started stamping flowers and leaves in paint

and filled them in using mid, light and dark tones

I then added shadow and highlights to give them more definition.

I also lightly outlined the paper flowers in the background

and added a little more Sunshine spray with a paint brush

Die cut the flowers from several pages of an old book and
fix together with a brad (do that as soon as you've die cut them).
Spritz in Sunshine Spray and then dip in crystal glitter.

Scrunch them up and leave to dry

Add touches of Plumeria Color Bloom to both the flowers
and the canvas so that it all tones in

I changed the brads for copper ones and added copper ones to the top

Here's a close up view to see the details

Materials used:

Stamps:  JOFY 45

Prima Color Bloom Spray Mists: Sunshine, Plumeria
Chalk, Pixie Dust, Sugar Plum, Granny Smith, South Pacific, Haystack, Zesty Zing

Thank you Helen for taking our
minds off the cold and dark winter days

Definitely a project to bring good cheer

'Till tomorrow

Mickie xx
