Hearts and Flowers

Hearts and Flowers

Happy Saturday Everyone!

Have a bit of a confession to
make today - I didn't notice I
was a project short for the week
until this afternoon.  Oooops!

Bit late in the day to approach
the DT I thought .............

Searched through my stash and
found I had some Honey Doo Stamps
so without further ado I put together
a quick and simple card to share
with you

I masked off a strip on the bottom
third of the card using Post-It Notes
and taking a Smoothie and Abandoned Coral
Distress Ink I coloured the strip

The next stage was to stamp the main image
in Black Archival ink

So far, so good!

Time to colour in the image and
I just swooshed some Abandoned Coral
and Cracked Pistachio on my cutting
mat, add a little water to get the colours
moving and a paint brush

Then I stamped a few hearts
along the "ribbon" using the
Abandoned Coral Distress Ink
and added a greeting

I'm afraid I have no idea
who the greeting is by - it has been
on my desk since way back when.
Likewise, the heart is also anonymous

Materials:

Card Blanks
Honey Doo Stamps
Archival Ink
Distress Ink

I do admit to have secretely enjoyed
making this card for you.........

although I am sure you will greet the
Design Team with open arms
when they come back next week

"Till tomorrow

Mickie xx

  1. Mickie you are too modest, this card is gorgeous! The colours and design are well chosen and showcase this lovely stamp perfectly.

  3. This card is beautiful Mickie - I find cards so difficult, not into simple and elegant but you've perfected the style! Rachel

  4. It's beautiful Mickie and great to have a CAS card. Although crafters often like to pile on the layers I find most of my friends and family prefer simple elegant cards. We have to remember our audience too!

    1. Agree wholeheartedly! As much as I like messy play, I try to make cards in the style the recipient will like.

  6. Great card Mickie, it really shows off those lovely Honey Doo flowers. I agree with the other comments above about CAS cards. I love messing about with layers of ink and paint but when it comes to cards, use of white space wins every time.
