Sizzix week: Neil

Hello :o)
Neil is with us today with his colourful and bright Art Journal page.
He used the Dylusions stamps to "ornate" his Sizzix bird, isn't this fab?
Can't wait to read what you think about this one.

I started the page off by using old pages and gesso to create a washed background. I used the border stamp to go all around the edge and coloured it in by using brushes filled with the inks.

I stamped a design onto the bird and coloured in the same way before adding the beak and the eyes. I stuck it down loosely before gluing the feet to the page

The sentiment was stamped onto card, torn out and coloured and added to the page too

Lastly I used a black pen to add the crest to the bird..

To make his page, Neil used:

Sizzix dies - Birds #3
Dylusions stamps - Further around the edge, doodle parts and quintessential quotes
Dylusions spray inks - assorted colours
Waterbrushes (medium- I use them with the inks but you can use ordinary brushes and spray some ink onto a craft sheet.)

Our special offer this week
Spend £30 on Sizzix products between Sept 10th and 17th and get a £5 voucher back
(you will find it in your parcel)

See you tomorrow

  1. Just love it! Makes me want to try journalling all over again. I shall look at that bird in a very different way from now on. . . . .

  2. That's a fabulous bird die. The colours of the page add to the quirkiness and the stamps have beenused very cleverly.
