Music week - Karen and Sylvie

Hi,
Second day for our music week with Karen and a lovely little hanging frame using Tando Creative Printer's Tray and mask.

I love to listen to music but its just gorgeous to start my day with the Dawn Chorus outside my window!
This sets me up for the day! I have used a Tando Creative Mini Printer Tray to make a little hanging. I first painted some white card with PaperArtsy Fresco paint in Pumpkin Soup then , using the Tando Creative musical mask, stencilled with Pebeo Studio Acrylic in Red Ochre. It looked a bit too bright so I toned it down by brayering a thin coat of white gesso over the top.

This was then stuck to the backboard of the printer tray.
I used PVA glue to attach the layers of the top section of chipboard and then painted it with pumpkin.
When that was dry I added some Ranger Crackle Accents to add texture.
The pretty birds are from a new stamp set by JOFY.
These were black embossed onto card and coloured with Promarkers, fussy cut and then placed onto the printer tray with sticky pads. The words are computer generated.

Now, Sylvie's turn. She made a beautiful shaker's card with step by step instructions for you to follow. I know one little girl in my house who would love a card like this... pink... shaker's card... music... perfect for a budding musician ;). Maybe I should make one similar for her this year...
Sylvie used the Crafty Individuals stamps as well as Tando Creative music notes.

Cut a piece of thick foam or cardboard to size (12x20 cm in this case). Cut a rectangle in the centre the size of the stamp you will use. I used CI-377 here.
Cover the cardboard/foam with paper and ink the sides with Distress ink.
Stamp your image twice on white card and emboss with black embossing powder.
Cut the dancers out and glue them with foam pads or silicone glue for a 3D effect.
Leave 1 mm around when you cut them out so you can add colour with the Distress ink pad in order to match the card.
Add a few sequins or glittered punched shapes, add a aceteate rectangle making sure it is sealed on all sides.
Cover with the My Mind's Eyes paper (once you have cut a rectangle in the centre too).
Ind the edges as you have done with the other papers.
Stamp and emboss in black the Tando Creative music notes as well as the music instruments from CI-366. Cut them out and add them to the card.
- Verser quelques sequins ou paillettte ou autres dessus
Now when you shake the card, the sequins will move around.

Sylvie used
My Minds Eyes Paper Pads (Memorable- Remarkable)
Crafty Individuals stamps : CI-366 - CI-377
Distress Inks : Evergreen Bough, Worn Lipstick

See you tomorrow
