Art Journaling today to make the week complete with alll sorts of different samples.
Neil chose to illustrate the song "Dreamers" by Jack Savoretti. If you don't know this singer, do check him out. I personally love his music too.
Here's a link to this specific song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dCG9tnXxT_A
Here's Neil's page and how he made it.
I enjoy music and always have something playing in the background as I work. It's not just the melody but the lyrics too and this is one of my current favourite lines from a Jack Savoretti song "Dreamers"
I cut the word out so it was loose on the page and then I made my background using Dylusions inks and a music mask. I added some detail to the page by using the music mask with Distress Ink around the edges of the page.
I coloured the word in with Dylusions ink too, outlined it in black so it stood out and added some detail with a fine black pen.
I wrote out the rest of the verse and then I added stamping in Archival ink to add interest and finish the page.

Lovely page, love the colours too. might have to get the music mask as one of my sons is a musician. Feeling the need to do all sorts of musical themed things now. Thanks for the inspiration.
