IndigoBlu week - Michelle

Hi,
Our guest designer Michelle is with us today with a beautiful altered box and ATCs. Michelle used the Yorkshire Evening Post stamp plate for her project.

I first stamped the ATC with StazOn and coloured them with Antique Linen thin with water. When dry, I inked here and there with Faded Jeans and Pumice Stone Distress inks. Added some ink spots with Walnut Stain and inked the edge as well. I decorated them with matching Bazzil cardstock and banner stamp. The box is decorated as well with a stamped image and coloured with Antique Linen Distress inks. I made a mini frame with the bottle cap and wrote ATC before to cover with Glossy Accent. I die cut some leaf and made 2 paper rosettes with an old book page. I used tacky glue to adhere the paper to the tin and I used the hot glue gun for the decorations on the lid

Distress inks: Walnut Stain, Antique Linen, Pumice Stone, Faded Jeans.

Butterfly kisses: ATCs

Hello :o)
Miniature art today with a couple of lovely ATCs by the talented Linda.
Linda used another one of my favourite: Art Collage

Going back to my roots this week ... ATC's ... that is pretty much where my addiction to stamping started! ATC's are perfect when you are running short of time ... or if you can squeeze a few crafty bits into your bag when you are on the go!
My ATC backgrounds were made using blended Distress Inks and a scrap of sequin waste. I used the Butterfly Kisses Arts Collage sheet with Vermillion Archival and some extra card to spotlight a few collage elements!

Materials
Butterfly Kisses Art Collage
Distress Inks: Fired Brick; Mustard Seed; Spiced Marmalade
Archival ink: Vermillion

Gift week: Perfume bottle

Hello,
Back on day 2 of our "'gift week" with a lovely project from Gio, which would be a lovely present for a crafty friend, don't you think?

This time I altered the "Woodware ATC in a tin": I used the box as a container for an altered real perfume bottle and I created a triptich of Gothic Arch with 3 of the 5 ATC contained in the tin.

I stamped the lady's silhouette (CI - 335) on a scrap paper, to mask the lid.
Using the Crafter's Workshop stencil HarlequinI I covered the lid with  Dreamweaver Transluscent paste, spreading it with a spatula ( since the stencil was dirty with old painting the gel had become coloured, I loved that effect). I set aside to dry and added some Crystal glitter glue. I stamped the body of the box using the same plate and blackJet StazOn. I stamped the silhouette on a piece of metal,
I cut it out and I glued to the lid.

For the triptich: I coloured the ATC with Dusty Concord Distress Ink and Tea Dye. I stamped the background using CI-306 - French corset and Distress Ink. I cut them in a gothic arch shape and I made some holes along the sides.
I stamped some perfume bottles using CI-335- Perfumery Paris plate and Jet black StazOn on a piece of metal. I cut them out and I glued to the arches. I linked the 3 gothic arches with a purple thread and a needle and added some lace.

For the perfume bottle:
I painted it with Fresco paint Lilac and Snowflake using a sponge. I stamped it using the plate CI-335 - Perfumery Paris and Dusty Concord Distress Ink. I added the ribbon and some metal stamped details.

Colour wheel week: ATC

Hello,
Linda is with us today and made three terrific ATCs with neighbouring colours: from yellow to red. I love her use of Glossy Accents on there.

I have used Red; Orange and Yellow for my ATCs which are of course neighbouring colours on the colour wheel.
I often work on A4 card to build a large background in one go and then cut it to size for whatever I choose to make. My red elements are manilla card shaped with a ball tool and then covered with Glossy Accents ... I love the way that makes the colour really pop!

Linda used:

Mustard Seed Distress Stain
Tim Holtz stamps: Itty Bitty Grunge; Steam Punk
PaperArtsy: Hot Picks 1009
