Bottled Up and Glazed Over

Bottled Up and Glazed Over

Hi Everyone!

Trust you are feeling on
top of the world...........
Well, its February - I have to
give you some hope......

Now if you've been whisked
off to Paris (or anywhere come
to that) for a romantic
Valentine's weekend then here
is the perfect reminder from
Angela Radford:

"I started this project with a smooth, tall bottle.
Ensure this is thoroughly clean before starting
as it will take the glaze better.

Now we can start to add the glaze by dabbing it on
with a sponge using your choice of colours.

I chose to use these three but obviously the choice is up to you.

Next I used a Tim Holtz stamp and Stazon ink
to apply detail to the bottle.

The easy way to do this is to lay the stamp firmly
on a craft mat and roll the bottle over it firmly.

This is where the smooth bottle comes
into it's own as it works well on the stamp

Here you can see the first stamping produced

Now I added more colour and continued with the stamping

And here is the finished bottle.
I used more Tim Holtz stamps and also used some
to create the labels on shrink plastic

The flowers are from my stash

Hope you enjoyed this.

Happy Crafting

Angela xXx"

Thank you very much Angela,
I think we all enjoyed the
transformation from plain
bottle to a treasure.....

'Till tomorrow

Bottled Up and Glazed Over

Bottled Up and Glazed Over

Hi There!

Today we have an idea
from Helen Chilton to
share with you.

I think you will love this
and will be itching to
make it yourself......

Read on..........

"This time I'm looking at StazOn Glazes and inkpads,
so I've decorated a sort of jam jar drinking mug.

Stamp onto tissue paper with the scalloped border
from PaperArtsy Tracey Scott set ETS01
and then paint in with the
StazOn glazes Cactus Green and Blue Hawaii.

Then cut out when dry.

Next, using StazOn Jet Black, stamp directly onto the glass.
Bend the stamp round the slight curve to get the full image

Start to paint in with the Claret Glaze.

Add in some Blue Hawaii and Cactus Green.

Stick the tissue border to the base using a decoupage glue.

Decorate the jar and the flowers with extra dots"

Materials used:

PaperArtsy Stamps: Tracey Scott ETS01
StazOn Glazes: Cactus Green, Blue Hawaii and Claret
StazOn inkpad: Jet Black
White tissue paper

Fabulous project Helen
thank you

Hmm... I have a couple of jars in lurking
in the kitchen cupboards that could be
given this treatment......................

'Till tomorrow
